By May 23, 2018Rhode Island, Top News

Representatives of the Rhode Island Hospitality Association (RIHA) attended the National Restaurant Association’s Public Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C. in April. RIHA met with Senators Reed and Whitehouse, Congressman Cicilline and representatives from Congressman Langevin’s office to discuss issues facing hospitality businesses on the federal level. These issues included reforming the Affordable Care Act, reforming the American’s with Disabilities Act and finding “a common sense, comprehensive reform” to immigration, particularly with regard to the specialty visas that seasonal businesses depend on.
