A team from RI Hospitality Association (RIHA) traveled to Block Island for a membership event on May 31. Sponsored by the Block Island Tourism Council and the Spring House Hotel, the meeting gave Island businesses a chance to meet with RIHA and enjoy educational sessions. Three training sessions were held over two days, sponsored by the Block Island Tourism Council and the National Hotel: ServSafe Alcohol, ServSafe Food Safety Manager and Boost your Service Game. Over the course of the two days, there were 35 participants in all. At the Spring House Hotel, RIHA Board Member Frank DiBiase hosted a membership reception. “Meeting members we don’t regularly meet with was a fantastic opportunity,” said Traci Dufresne, Director, RI Hospitality Education Foundation.
