The annual celebration of Scottish Poet Robert Burns took shape around the Nutmeg State in the last weekend of January with dinners and tastings, including a whisky showcase of Highland Park 12 Year Old Scotch Whisky at Vaughan’s Irish Public House in Hartford. Representatives from Brescome Barton and the bar team at Vaughan’s highlighted the expression from Highland Park in a cocktail called Viking Honor, which included ginger beer, fresh lime and bitters. Roberts Burns Day is celebrated on January 25 each year.
