Brickyard Wine & Spirits in Barrington, along with Sage Cellars, donated proceeds from every bottle of award-winning Sparkling Pointe Sparking Wine sold on December 31 to the Barrington Land Conservation Trust. New York’s Sparkling Pointe bubbly is made from Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. Strictly using the traditional Méthode Champenoise process, Sparkling Pointe is the only winery on the North Fork to exclusively produce sparkling wines and is certified sustainable. Brickyard Owners Giovanni and Chelia Cicione, along with Anne Sage and Jesse Sgro, Co-founders of Sage Cellars, collaborated to raise funds for ongoing initiatives to preserve the town’s last community farm, which provides educational opportunities for local families. The trust owns more than 285 acres in support of land conversation and open space programs.
