Mystic’s The Shipwright’s Daughter was named one of Wine Enthusiast magazine’s “Forward 50” wine destinations, which recognizes 50 venues with notable wine programs in the United States. Opened in June 2020 with Executive Chef David Standridge at the helm, The Shipwright’s Daughter was the only venue in Connecticut who earned this distinction for its unique wine list and creative culinary offerings. “It’s an honor to be recognized as one of Wine Enthusiast’s ‘Forward 50’ wine destinations in the U.S.,” said Kathleen Standridge, Wine Director, The Shipwright’s Daughter. “One of our biggest missions is to create a curated list that focuses on quality small producers who aren’t afraid to experiment. We want our guests to feel empowered and inspired by their experience at The Shipwright’s Daughter. By highlighting an ever-changing selection of wines, and our unique approach of explaining a wine in detail on the menu, we hope that we can encourage diners to celebrate great wines that they have never tried before and, with a little information, can become new favorites.”
