The waterfront lawn of the Connecticut River Museum came to life as the scenic setting for RiverFare on May 29, 2014. Known as the unofficial kick off of summer on the shoreline, RiverFare is a popular tasting event that features gourmet food, wine, microbrews and a silent auction, all on the museum grounds overlooking the Essex harbor. Silo Distillery was among those participating. The Vermont-made craft vodka was recently honored with a gold medal in The Fifty Best blind tasting competition among domestic vodkas, and is available in Connecticut from Artisanal Distributors.
