Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI) and Diageo hosted a trade event highlighting Singleton Scotch whiskies on May 10 at Washington Prime in Norwalk. The “tastes and stories” of single malt Scotch whiskies, The Singleton of Glendullan 12-, 15- and 18-Year-Old Single Malts were showcased in a guided tasting of the portfolio. Founded in 1897, Glendullan was the seventh distillery to be built in Dufftown, a burgh in Moray, Scotland. The malted barley is milled and then steeped in pure water from Conval Hills, before a slow fermentation and distillation process. Singleton is then “gently matured” in American oak casks with a touch of European ex-sherry casks for a “perfectly balanced, smooth and fruity flavor.”
