Kyoto Miyako Distillery is the first whisky distillery in Kyoto, located in Kyotamba-Cho and surrounded by intensely rich natural resources, in the central part of the Kyoto Prefecture. Kyoto Whisky and Gin are part of its world-class spirits offerings. Founded in 1870 in Alsace, France, Distillerie G.E. Massenez brings top-quality eau-de-vie (fruit brandies) and liqueurs in a range of flavors from Massenez Liqueur de Curaçao to Crème de Banane to Dom Pacello Royal Orange Liqueur. The distillation method is still a closely guarded family secret and the distillery remains family-owned.
