
Veuve Clicquot Winemaker Pierre Casenave visited Connecticut for a series of pairing dinners and education on the renowned Champagne brand. Slocum & Sons in North Haven hosted a presentation by Casenave, who led guests through a tasting that included Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label, Rosé, Vintage 2008, Vintage Rosé 2008, La Grande Dame and Demi-Sec. After the tasting session, Casenave signed bottles for guests during the May 2 gathering. Two pairing dinners with Casenave were hosted at Max’s Oyster Bar in West Hartford on May 1 and May 2, enabling consumers as well as trade guests to taste through and enjoy the Champagnes. Guests enjoyed a six-course menu prepared by Chef Hunter 4Morton alongside the six varietals of Veuve Clicquot, sponsored in conjunction with The Wise Old Dog.
