
Slocum & Sons hosted a dinner with special guest Luca Currado at Solé Restaurant in New Canaan on January 27. Currado, who is winemaker at Vietti, in Castiglione Falletto in the heart of the Barolo zone, talked with participants about the region, his family’s roots in winemaking dating back to the 19th century and the evening’s pairing selections. Guests tasted Vietti Roero Arneis, Dolcetto d’Alba Tre Vigne, Barbera d’Asti Tre Vigne, Langhe Perbacco Nebbiolo, Barolo Castiglione, Barolo Ravera, Barolo Brunate, Barolo Lazzarito, Barbaresco Masseria and Barbera d’Alba Vigna Vecchia Scarrone.
