
Slocum & Sons, in cooperation with Bottle Stop in Avon, hosted a pairing dinner featuring wines from Duckhorn Vineyards at The North House in Avon on March 29. Guests enjoyed a four-course meal prepared by the culinary team at the North House under Executive Chef April Gibson, each paired with a wine from the Duckhorn portfolio. Featured wines included Decoy Brut Cuvée, Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc, Migration Pinot Noir, Duckhorn Three Palms Vineyard Merlot, Duckhorn Cabernet Sauvignon and Paraduxx Red Blend. Founded in 1976 by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn, Duckhorn Vineyards is known as one of the first 40 Napa Valley wineries. Throughout its history, its winemakers have focused on optimal grape selection, innovative winemaking techniques and a premium barrel aging program. The Duckhorn Portfolio includes Decoy, Goldeneye, Paraduxx and Migration, among others. Duckhorn Vineyards Three Palms Vineyard Merlot has been recognized as one of the best Merlots in the world.
