
Slocum & Sons, in collaboration with the United States Bartenders’ Guild (USBG) New Haven chapter, hosted a spring spirits portfolio tasting and cocktail competition at Bourbon Raw in Norwalk on March 11. Trade guests had the opportunity to sample a variety of spirits, during which 11 USBG member bartenders showcased featured selections, including González Byass, Hepple Gin, Litchfield Bourbon, Lunazul Tequila, Street Puma Rum, Glendalough Irish Whiskey Double Barrel and Sagamore Rye during a cocktail competition. The first-place winner was Trevor Rosetta of Mecha Noodle Bar. In second place was Orlando Gonzalez, The Mayfield, with Deon Ross of Olives and Oil in third place.
