Pop-up cocktail bar Eight Seas, in coordination with MS Walker, hosted an event that celebrated the history of Spain through cocktails at Bolt Coffee Company in Providence’s The Dean Hotel on March 6. Catherine Hood, Owner and Proprietor of Eight Seas Pop-Up Tiki Bar, created six specialty cocktails inspired by Spain’s history and culture. Guests enjoyed cocktails including the Mother of Judges & Princes, City of a Hundred Places and Land of Vandals, each featuring a sherry from Jerez, Spain’s House of Lustau. Founded in 1896, Bodegas Lustau is renowned for its benchmark sherry wines. Lustau’s accolades include multiple medals and trophies, notably the International Wine & Spirit Competition’s Best Spanish Winery in 2011 and Best Sherry Producer in 2014 and 2016, and the Len Evans Trophy for consistency in 2011 and 2016.
