Stonington Vineyards jump-started the holiday season with its annual Turkey Trot Wine Run 5K on Nov. 5. During the Thanksgiving event, guests met in the late morning at the vineyard and ran two laps through its scenic grounds to complete the 3.1-mile race. After crossing the finish line, runners enjoyed a complimentary pour of their favorite Stonington Vineyards wine in the winery’s tasting room, along with a race T-shirt, Stonington Vineyards wine glass and completion medal. Runners were timed and their scores were posted virtually through J3 Timing. Situated on 58 acres in eastern Connecticut’s Stonington Uplands, Stonington Vineyards offers a variety of award-winning European-style wines, including Stonington Vineyards Cabernet Franc, Triad Rosé, Seaport White, Riesling, Barrel-Fermented Chardonnay and Barrel-Free Chardonnay.
