Stony Creek Brewery, Save the Sound and Dichello Distributors collaborated for Branford Land Trust’s (BLT) Saturday Work Party on May 21 clearing litter and invasive plant species from the tidal banks, roadsides and parking areas on several nearby BLT- and town-owned parcels along the Branford River. Volunteers met at the brewery’s 5 Indian Neck Avenue location, followed by an after-party at Stony Creek Brewery’s River Shack Bar with refreshing craft beers. Save the Sound is a nonprofit organization that has led environmental action in Connecticut and New York for more than 50 years, with a mission to fight climate change, save endangered lands and protect the Long Island Sound and its rivers. Branford Land Trust is a nonprofit organization founded in 1967 with the goal of protecting Branford’s natural resources, acquiring and managing open space, promoting education about natural resources and encouraging the community to
