Newport’s The Chanler at Cliff Walk offered its guests unique dining experiences during the summer months, bringing back its popular dining yurts and wine garden. Fashioned with light summer fabrics and open-air sides, Chanler’s yurts offer diners an upscale al fresco experience with views overlooking the famed Cliff Walk and Easton’s beach. Executive Chef Jacob Jasinski and his team created four-course prix fixe menus with seasonal offerings, including charred tomato composition with cucumber, chili, olive and sherry vinegar; bucatini with sausage eggplant and tomato; two-pound Newport lobster a la plancha and more, featuring produce picked fresh from The Chanler’s vegetable garden. Located on the venue’s grassy lawn overlooking the mansion grounds, The Chanler’s Wine Garden offers wines from Ca’ del Bosco. Ca’ del Bosco’s luxury sparkling wines are created using traditional and modern vintner techniques, and made from top-quality grapes grown in Franciacorta, a region east of Milan. In other news, the wine program at The Chanler’s restaurant, Cara, was recently recognized with a 2021 Best of Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator.
