The Nolet Group will acquire fellow Netherlands-based drinks group Lucas Bols for $285 million. The two companies say the deal is “a unique opportunity to bring together two leading Dutch companies with a rich heritage and a wide range of strong spirits and cocktail brands.” Operating from its existing locations in Amsterdam, Lucas Bols will retain its name and brands, joining the Nolet Group as a separate company under the continued leadership of Lucas Bols’ current CEO Huub van Doorne and CFO Frank Cocx. Nolet is known as the maker of Ketel One Vodka and has a global joint venture with Diageo on the brand. Lucas Bols’ portfolio includes its namesake brand of liqueurs, as well as Passoã, Galliano and Tequila Partida, among others.
