The Wine Store in Westerly featured Apothic Dark, Chateau La Grange Clinet, Alamos Torrontes and Frei Brothers Reserve Chardonnay among brands for a recent tasting
The Wine Store in Westerly hosted an in-store wine tasting in May featuring two red wines, one from California and one from France, and two white wines, one from Argentina and one from California. Featured wines included Apothic Dark of California, offering flavors of blueberries and blackberries and notes of coffee and dark chocolate. Chateau Le Grange Clinet 2014 Cotes de Bordeaux is a blend of three grapes: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc aged for 12 months in barrels. Alamos Torrontes of Argentina, a white wine, features notes of citrus and peach with layers of jasmine and fresh herbs, and a long finish offers balanced acidity. Lastly, Frei Brothers Reserve Chardonnay of Sonoma County showcases flavors of green apple, orange zest and apple pie with notes of butter and toast.
