Tito’s Handmade Vodka and wholesaler Martignetti Companies hosted its third annual Block to Block project in Bridgeport on Oct. 25. A group of 30 volunteers completely rebuilt 23 garden beds at one of the oldest community gardens in the city, Ridge Ave Community Garden. Love, Tito’s, the philanthropic heart of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, supported Green Village Initiative (GVI) as part of the company’s Love, Tito’s Block to Block program. “Through our Block to Block community garden program, we work to increase access to fresh, healthy food by creating green spaces that bring people together,” said Victoria Lewis, Field Sales Manager, Tito’s Handmade Vodka. “We admire the work GVI is doing to make vital resources readily available to Bridgeport residents and we’re honored to amplify their mission.” The Green Village Initiative is a 13-year-old nonprofit that operates Reservoir Community Farm in Bridgeport, where it runs an education and leadership program dedicated to empowering the local community with sustainable gardening practices and more.
