The Gulf Stream Bar & Grille in Portsmouth hosted Barks & Booze, a “FUNdraiser” for Save A Lab Rescue, on April 12, sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, which was billed during the event as “vodka for dog people.” Food and drink specials, dog treats from the Woof Wagon and a “totally paw-some raffle” benefited the Middletown-based, all-volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of displaced Labrador retrievers and Labrador retriever mixes and is run by a network of volunteers located primarily in the southern and northeastern regions of the U.S. Tito’s Handmade Vodka was featured in three signature event “puptails”: Hair of the Lab, a Tito’s Bloody Mary; The Loyal Lab, with Tito’s, ginger beer and lime; and The Salty Dog, Tito’s with grapefruit soda. The day’s event raised more than $5,000 to help dogs in need. Tito’s Handmade Vodka is distributed in Rhode Island via Mancini Beverage – Rhode Island Distributing division.
