Monsieur Touton Selection, Ltd., hosted two late summer events to promote spirits from Virginia’s Filibuster Distillery. The first was a Bourbon and Cigar Night at Antoinette’s, the speakeasy located behind Nouveau Monde in Sandy Hook on Aug. 17. Shravan Dilawri, Co-founder, Filibuster Distillery, hosted the evening along with Big Buddha Cigar Lounge in Newtown. Guests were treated to tastes of Filibuster’s Dual Cask Bourbon, Dual Cask Rye, The Boondoggler Whiskey, Single Estate Bourbon and Bottled in Bond Bourbon, winner of this year’s World Whiskies Awards Best American Non-Kentucky Small Batch Bourbon. Then, on Sept. 13, local trade gathered at Plan b in Glastonbury to celebrate the venue’s new fall menu, which includes selections from Filibuster. The evening was co-hosted by Dilawri; Marcia Passavant, CT/RI Spirits Manager, Monsieur Touton Selection, Ltd.; and Nathan Cloutier, CT Sales Manager, Monsieur Touton Selection, Ltd. Guests were treated to a micro tasting of Filibuster bourbons, along with distinct triple cask expressions, and Touton wines for the fall.
