The United States Bartenders’ Guild (USBG) New Haven chapter hosted its June meeting along with members of the Hartford USBG chapter at Highland Brass Co. in Waterbury on June 18. Brescome Barton Sales Representative Harrison Love led a tasting and educational session of Suntory Whisky Toki and Laphroaig Single Malt Scotch with USBG members. Then, seven bartenders participated in a cocktail competition using Suntory Whisky Toki in their creations. The winner, Keith Jones of Highland Brass, received a trip sponsored by the USBG to Tales of the Cocktail, a multi-day industry event held annually in New Orleans in July.
