Teeling Small Batch Irish Whiskey was showcased during a cocktail competition at The Local Sixty-Three in Watertown on March 26. Six local bartenders created batched cocktails for the crowd featuring Teeling Whiskey and guests voted on their favorites. The winner was Greg Spuches, Flora, with his cocktail, The Golden Triangle. The history of Teeling Small Batch Irish Whiskey dates back to 1782, when Walter Teeling set up a small craft distillery in Dublin. Jack and Stephen Teeling, the latest generation of whiskey makers, set up the Teeling Whiskey Co. and opened the Teeling Whiskey Distillery in Dublin in 2012. Handcrafted in several expressions—including Teeling Whiskey Small Batch, Single Grain and Single Malt—the whiskeys are available in the state through Brescome Barton.
