The Weekapaug Inn in Westerly hosted a Brewmaster’s Dinner featuring beer from Vermont’s von Trapp Brewing on July 17. Special guest Sam von Trapp, Proprietor of von Trapp Brewing in Stowe, Vermont, was the evening’s special guest. von Trapp, the grandson of Maria von Trapp, whose family inspired the iconic film “The Sound of Music,” entertained and educated participants during a beer reception and family-style, three-course dinner paired with von Trapp selections, each highlighting Austrian-style brewing and his family’s unique history.
