
MS Walker hosted an industry event showcasing West Cork Distillers spirits on February 6 at The Royal Bobcat in Providence. Founded in 2003 and based in Skibbereen, Ireland, West Cork Distillers is one of the largest, wholly Irish-owned distilleries, with its award-winning West Cork Irish Whiskey sold in 70 countries. West Cork’s U.S. brand ambassador team were on hand with industry guests and consumers, while The Royal Bobcat bar team used the featured spirits in cocktails: West Cork Bourbon Cask Irish Whiskey, a delicate blend of grain (75%) and malt (25%) matured in bourbon casks, offering a slight citrus and cracked pepper aroma with a taste of malt, lingering sweetness, citrus, apple and nutmeg; and Garnish Island Gin, a handcrafted small-batch gin taking inspiration from the Italian gardens on West Cork’s Garnish Island, made with locally foraged botanicals.
