West Street Wines & Spirits in Simsbury hosted a holiday coat drive for Button Up Connecticut, which collects clean, new and gently used coats to distribute to residents in need all across the state. Customers were encouraged to donate a coat throughout the month of December and help fill up a rack that was located in the store. “Our customers are the best. Thanks, Simsbury for your generous winter coat donations,” said Owner Jim Pabich. The team at West Street Wines & Spirits has participated in collecting for the New Britain-based nonprofit for the past 20 years. Founded in 1992 by Dan Siracusa of Siracusa Moving and Storage, Button Up Connecticut has distributed more than 750,000 coats to Connecticut men, women and children.
