
Five Corners Bistro & Craft Bar in Farmington hosted its first Gin Club at the Corners event, highlighting Westford Gin in collaboration with Slocum & Sons on Jan. 20. Lou Chatey, Co-owner and Master Distiller, Westford Hill Distillers, and John Tsipouras, Sales Representative, Slocum & Sons, were in attendance to discuss the distillation process with guests and conduct tastings of Westford Hill Distillers spirits. Guests were greeted with a Gin & Tonic upon arrival, along with small plates prepared by the culinary team at Five Corners. Founded in 1997 by Margaret and Louis Chatey in Ashford, Westford Hill Distillers creates award-winning European-style brandies, including Framboise, Pear William, Kirsch, Fraise, Poire Prisonniere, Apple Brandy and Rime Organic Vodka, along with its Westford Gin. The brand is distributed in Connecticut for retailers and on-premise by Slocum & Sons. Five Corners plans to hold its Gin Club events monthly, with a new featured gin at each session.
