For the second year in a row, Women of the Vine & Spirits collaborated with Deloitte LLP to publish the industry-specific report “Beverage Alcohol DE&I Study: Women Raising the Bar.” The report measures company performance against DEI benchmarks in order to support companies in their evaluation of practices and accountability in building more diverse, equitable and inclusive workplaces. Of note, only one in 10 women working in the alcohol industry believe there has been significant positive change toward female employees over the past five years, with less than 20% of women believing their company is improving the workplace through DEI efforts, and fewer than one in five women giving their company top marks for improving the workplace through DEI efforts. Fewer than four in 10 women surveyed rate their company’s efforts on retaining a diverse workforce as either good or excellent, while less than half give their company high marks for being able to recruit a diverse workforce in the first place.
