The Worldwide Wines sales team traveled to visit the Kings County Distillery in Brooklyn on July 21. The group was treated to a distillery tour of the Brooklyn Navy Yard-based craft distillery, known as one of the oldest distilleries since the end of Prohibition, where they learned about the distillery’s process for milling, mashing, fermenting and distilling its spirits and enjoyed a tasting of the full product line. Kings County won a Double Gold medal in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2021 for its Barrel Strength Bourbon and a Platinum award in the Great American International Spirits Competition for its Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon in 2019, among its many accolades. The distillery focuses solely on distilling whiskeys, using organic New York-grown corn and rye and non-GMO malted barley imported from Scotland and England. Its offerings include Bourbon, Peated Bourbon, Empire Rye and more. The Kings County Distillery whiskey line is distributed in the state by Worldwide Wines.
