By May 27, 2019Rhode Island, Top News

Watch Hill, Rhode Island’s historic Ocean House, earned high honors from travel association AAA Northeast. The venue was awarded two Five Diamonds for the restaurant for the first time, in addition to two Five Diamonds for the hotel, making it the only Ten Diamond hotel on the East Coast. Recipients were honored by AAA in March 2019 at a luncheon at the Hotel Providence. “Five Diamond properties have extraordinary physical qualities, extensive amenities and impeccable standards for service excellence,” said the AAA statement. The Ocean House first received the Five Diamond rating in 2011 and has maintained it every year since. Along with the Ocean House, 12 other Rhode Island hotels were honored with Four Diamond awards: Point Pleasant Inn & Resort, Cliffside Inn, Forty 1° North, Grace Vanderbilt, Gurney’s Newport Resort & Marina, Hydrangea House Inn, Newport Marriott, The Chanler at Cliff Walk, Hotel Providence, Renaissance Providence Downtown Hotel, Watch Hill Inn and The Weekapaug Inn.
