By July 1, 2021Connecticut, Top News

Rumford, Rhode Island-based wine brand Anchor & Hope was featured at a wine dinner in Providence on the Rooftop at the Providence G on May 11. Available in Connecticut through Craft Beer Guild Distributing of Connecticut, Anchor & Hope selections featured during the meal included Anchor & Hope’s 2019 Grüner Veltliner, 2018 Mendo Red Blend and 2019 Pinot Rosé. Its offerings also include a 2019 Sauvignon Blanc, 2019 Dry Riesling, 2019 Riesling Feinherb, 2019 Chardonnay, 2018 Pinot Gris and 2018 Pinot Noir – Oregon. Anchor & Hope wines are produced by Providence-based husband-and-wife team James Davids, a winemaker from California, and Marissa Stashenko, originally from Massachusetts, who together collaborate with family-owned grape growers in Germany, California and Oregon to create single-vineyard, sustainably farmed wines in environmentally friendly packaging. The wines are shipped to Rumford soon after harvest, where they are aged and packaged into five-gallon kegs, 250-ml cans, 375-ml bottles and 750-ml bottles.
