Atlantic Beverage Distributors added new brews to Rhode Island heading into March from Massachusetts craft brewers. The first is Medusa Laser Kitten, an American IPA-style beer brewed by Medusa Brewing Company in Hudson. At 4.5% ABV, Medusa Laser Kitten packs plenty of Citra and Mosaic hops for a citrusy, fruity punch, while the body is kept extra pale, light and dry to let those hops shine. Two new brews from Lord Hobo Brewing Co. of Woburn join as well. The first is Lord Hobo Bodacious Vagabond DDH Juicy IPA, a double dry-hopped 8% ABV double dose of Styrian Dragon, Citra and Galaxy hops, which produce tropical fruit aromas with just a hint of pine, followed up by a blast of peach, pineapple and citrus flavors. With less than .5% ABV, Lord Hobo Life Non-Alcoholic IPA “does not sacrifice flavor for responsibility,” pouring bright and hazy with waves of tropical fruit aroma and citrus flavor finishing with a hint of bitterness.
