
Atlantic Beverage Distributors held multiple events in the state in support of its addition of Big Elm Brewery’s beer line in August. The family-run brewery, owned by Bill and Christine Heaton, is located in Sheffield, Massachusetts and offers canned, craft, micro beers including its 413 Farmhouse Ale, IPA, American Lager, Gerry Dog Stout and Lion’s Ale. Owner Bill Heaton celebrated the local launch with the Atlantic Beverage team on August 24 at The Wild Colonial Tavern in Providence, and on August 25 at an on-site sales meeting presentation.
- The Big Elm Brewery launch with Atlantic Beverage Distributors was hosted on August 24 at The Wild Colonial Tavern in Providence, celebrating the brand’s expansion across Rhode Island. The beer is available in six-packs and on draught.
- Big Elm American Lager, 413 and Gerry Dog Stout were featured on tap exclusively for The Wild Colonial. The taps are created with wood collected by Heaton on walks with the family dog, Gerry, the namesake of the Gerry Dog Stout.

The featured collection on tap was hand-picked by Collins to complement the venue’s collection of craft beers, while highlighting one of his favorite breweries, near his hometown of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, he explained.
