Bad Sweater from Savage & Cooke Celebrates Good Taste

By December 25, 2020Rhode Island, Top News

The Savory Grape in East Greenwich was among retailers showcasing seasonally spiced Bad Sweater Whiskey. The Savage & Cooke whiskey was rated as a “Top 10 Gifts for Men” by Buzzfeed.

Savage & Cooke launched a seasonally spiced whiskey, Bad Sweater, bringing to mind countless unworn holiday gifts, but this one has plenty of good taste. A four-year-old bourbon spiked with favorite holiday spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, cacao nibs and vanilla bean, the blend of spices is steeped in the bourbon to extract maximum flavor and integration. The Savage & Cooke distillery and tasting room, owned by Napa Valley Winemaker Dave Phinney, is located on Mare Island, where its history as a naval shipyard and its brownstone buildings set the stage for its unique handcrafted spirits. Bad Sweater offers an inviting use in holiday cocktails, over ice or in coffee. The 80-proof spirited has a mash bill of 71% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley. Available via Johnson Brothers of Rhode Island, retailers decked the shelves with its festive, themed packaging as the winter holidays approached.
