Bally’s Regional Executive Director of Public and Community Affairs Kim Ward presented a $25,000 donation to The Tomorrow Fund’s Executive Director Lisa Abbenante to provide financial support for families burdened with childhood cancer. The Tomorrow Fund is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1985 by a group that included doctors, teachers, child development experts and parents, who recognized that children with cancer and their families needed additional assistance beyond medical care to cope with the many challenges that accompany this disease. In 1995, a state-of-the-art medical facility, The Tomorrow Fund Clinic at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island, opened. The clinic is widely recognized for its outstanding medical treatment and its compassionate approach to children and their families. Children with cancer treated in the Pediatric Oncology Program and The Tomorrow Fund Clinic at Hasbro Children’s Hospital receive support. The vital programs are made available to patients and families from the time of diagnosis, throughout treatment, into recovery and beyond, relying solely on contributions to fund its support programs.
