
Executives from Bally’s Rhode Island presented a check for $2,500, as well as hygiene products from its recent employee drive, to Operation Stand Down Rhode Island (OSDRI) on Nov. 10, timed in recognition of Veterans Day. Joining Kim Ward, Regional Executive Director of Public and Community Affairs, was Craig Sculos, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Bally’s Tiverton Casino & Hotel, and Tony Rohrer, Vice President and General Manager of Bally’s Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort. OSDRI is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and Rhode Island’s primary nonprofit resource for homeless and at-risk veterans. Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Johnston, OSDRI’s mission is to strengthen the veteran community by providing crucial wraparound services. OSDRI offers a wide range of life-changing services, including supportive permanent and transitional housing, intensive case management, basic human needs assistance such as food and clothing, and an employment training and placement program in order to prevent and end homelessness.
