Baró New World Cantina in Fairfield celebrated its opening in support of local charity, Community Plates. “It’s a chance to celebrate not only our debut of the Latin American food and drinks we love, but also the community around us,” said Jason Snopkoski, Beverage Manager. The full-house event offered a silent auction, as well as food and beverage items, with proceeds going to support Community Plates, an organization committed to ending American food insecurity by directly transferring fresh, usable food that would have otherwise been thrown away from restaurants, markets and other sources to food-insecure families.
