Offerings from Firestone Walker Brewing drew both beer and animal lovers for a tasting and fundraising event at The Wild Colonial Tavern in Providence on January 25. The tasting featured Firestone Walker’s Nitro Merlin Milk Stout, brewed in the style of an English sweet stout. Available in cans, the stout has a lighter carbonation level than many beers, resulting in a smooth mouth-feel. The event benefited the Abandoned Dogs of Rhode Island (ADRI) charity, founded in 2015 by sisters Alyssa and Erika Danielson. Located in Gloucester, ADRI provides local dogs and cats with housing, food and other necessities; its goal is to expand services and relocate the facility using raised funds. Firestone Walker brews are available in the Ocean State via Craft Beer Guild Distributing.
