Best Beverage Adds New Portuguese Wines from d’Aguieira

By January 3, 2021Rhode Island, Top News

Quinta d’Aguieira Vinho Tinto offers an elegant red wine expressive of its Portuguese terroir of Bairrada, at 13% ABV made with 95% Touriga Nacional, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Tinta Roriz. Quinta d’Aguieira Vinho Branco, 12% ABV, is deeply aromatic, with evident citric notes and tropical fruits. Its fine acidity enhances its velvety texture, making the wine very fresh, mineral and intense, with a long-lasting finish.

Best Beverage welcomes two new Portuguese wines from Quinta d’Aguieira. Situated in northern central Portugal and bounded by the hills of Dão to the east and the Atlantic Ocean to the west, the maritime climate along with the clay-limestone soils are the key to the uniquely refreshing wines of Bairrada. Acquired in 1997 by the Guedes family, the estate has 21 hectares that are exclusively dedicated to the production of fine wines and sparkling wines. For its dry wines, the terroir produces reds, focusing on indigenous grapes and on international varieties that have a very particular expression in these soils, specifically Cabernet Sauvignon. Quinta d’Aguieira’s Vinho Branco and Tinto are bottlings dedicated to the creation of singular wines designed with time.
