Ruben Provedo, Head Winemaker, Bodegas Franco Espanolas

Bodegas Franco Espanolas announced that Ruben Provedo was hired as head winemaker for Bodegas Franco Espanolas (Rioja) and Finca El Encinal (Ribera del Duero). Previously Provedo worked at Numanthia where, under his watch, Spain’s first 100-point wine was awarded. The historic Rioja winery, Bodegas Franco Espanolas, founded in 1890, and the much smaller boutique Ribera del Duero winery, Finca El Encinal are owned by the Eguizabal family. Wines from both wineries are imported into the U.S. by Vision Wine & Spirits and sold nationwide.
