Bombay Sapphire GQ Magazine USBG Most Imaginative Bartender Rhode Island

The fifth annual Bombay Sapphire GQ USBG Most Imaginative Bartender Program’s Rhode Island competition was held in Boston on July 30, 2013. Bombay Sapphire, GQ Magazine and the United States Bartenders Guild (USBG) present the program to “celebrate of the art of bartending and the creative process” giving center stage to one national winner. Each state hosts a competition where its winner goes to compete to the finals in Las Vegas. Jason Kindness of Newport won the Rhode Island competition with following cocktail:
Drink Name: Jane Pickens
Recipe:
2.5 oz. Bombay Sapphire
.75 oz. Pimms
1 oz fresh lime juice
Splash simple syrup
.25 oz. homemade lavender bitters
Shake/strain over ice. Candied lavender spear garnish.
