Brescome Barton welcomed spring by highlighting seasonal rosé offerings, including two new Italian imports. Tormaresca Calafuria Rosé is a 100% estate-grown Negroamaro from Salento, Puglia. Calafuria, which translates to “seaside cove,” shows hints of pink grapefruit and peaches with delicate aromas of spices and Mediterranean herbs. Crisp and refreshing on the nose, with notes of wild roses, raspberries and melon, Fattoria Sardi Rosé, 85% Sangiovese, 15% Vermentino and Syrah, is a certified organic rosé grown between the mountains and the sea in Northwest Tuscany. The freshness pairs elegantly with equally fresh cuisine like antipasti, seafood and vegetable preparations.
- Tormaresca Calafuria Rosé. Tormaresca was founded in 1998 by the Antinori family in Italy’s Puglia region in Southern Italy. Its estate is comprised of two properties: Tenuta Bocca di Lupo in Murgia and Masseria Maìme in the Salento region.
- Fattoria Sardi Rosé, imported by Santa Margherita USA. The vineyard’s growing practices comply with the European specifications of organic agriculture and use biodynamic agricultural tools.
