Brescome Barton, in collaboration with Remy Martin, hosted a Louis XIII Cognac tasting and dinner at La Foresta Restaurant & Wine Bar in Killingworth on February 8. Philippe Vasilescu, Northeast Regional Ambassador of Rémy Cointreau, educated guests on Louis XIII Cognac as he led them through a tasting of the spirit. Known as one of the world’s finest cognacs, Louis XIII was first created in 1874. It is made from a blend of 1,200 grapes from the Cognac region, resulting in its unique flavors and aromas of myrrh, honey, dried roses, plum and passion fruit. After the tasting, guests enjoyed dinner with their choice of wines from La Foresta’s extensive collection.
