Brescome Barton hosted a bourbon-pairing and cigar dinner featuring award-winning premium straight bourbon whiskey Penelope Bourbon at The Industrial Cocktail Bar at the Assembly Room in New Britain on Dec. 15. John Henry, John Henry Co. Craft Spirits, and Matthew Ward, National Events and Marketing Manager, Penelope Bourbon, were in attendance to give guests an educational talk on Penelope Bourbon. Guests enjoyed a four-course dinner prepared by the Pika Food Truck team, with each course paired with a different expression of Penelope Bourbon. During the evening, guests enjoyed a Rosemary & Apple Cider Old Fashioned cocktail created by Andres Soriano featuring Penelope Bourbon Four Grain, Penelope Bourbon Barrel Strength, Penelope Bourbon Architect Private Barrel Selection and Penelope Bourbon Toasted Series. Whiskey selections were paired with cigars from Southington- and Milford-based cigar shops and lounges Mickey Blake’s and presented by Luis Rodriguez. Distributed in the state by Brescome Barton, Penelope Bourbon is distilled at MGP’s historic Lawrenceburg, Indiana, distillery founded in 1847.
