The 9th annual WeHa Whiskey & Spirits Festival is adding premium spirits to its extensive line up of whiskey brands. Presented by Maximum Beverage, more than 250 different kinds of whiskey, bourbon, single malt Scotch and, now rum, tequila, gin and more. The food buffets are catered by The Hartford Golf Clun and there will be live entertainment. Also new for 2022, a multi-course Whiskey & Spirits Dinner at the Hartford Golf Club. To adhere to safe practices, the 2022 tasting will be held on the picturesque grounds of the Hartford Golf Club. This year’s proceeds benefit Friends of Feeney, helping children and families who need assistance after heartbreak and tragedy.

The Newport Beer Festival returns for the 11th year, celebrating Rhode Island breweries and some out-of-state favorites. A showcase of 50 craft brewers at one landmark location, Fort Adams State Park, for an afternoon of handcrafted beers poured by the people who make them. 21+ with valid ID. Rain or shine. The RI Hospitality Association (RIHA) Women in Hospitality will host a Trivia Night for industry guests at O’Brien’s Pub in Newport on June 6. A fun night of networking and trivia.is partnered with Rogers High School Food Pantry to help with its mission of giving Newport students access to basic necessities they are not able to get elsewhere. Guests are asked to bring a donation of any of the following items:
- Non-perishable food
- Shampoo/conditioner
- Soap/body wash
The Newport Craft Brew Race will celebrate its annual fun run on July 22 with a walk or run 5K followed by a craft beer festival with more than 30 participating local, regional and national breweries on the grounds of Fort Adams State Park. All 5k participants and festival-goers will receive a pint glass and entry to the festival with ticket purchase, including access to beer sampling, live music, vendors and food trucks. The second Newport Oktoberfest will take place at Fort Adams State Park on Sept. 16. Hosted by the Fort Adams Trust and Ragged Island Brewing Co., the festival will bring authentic German beer, wine, food and live music to the Ocean State, with proceeds benefiting the Fort Adams Trust, a non-profit organization working to preserve the historic Fort Adams State Park, a 200-year-old military fort turned state park situated on the mouth of Newport Harbor. Guests will enjoy tastes of Weihenstephan, Paulaner and Spaten beer from Ragged Island Brewing Co., Taproot Brewery and Rejects Beer Co. and food from local caterers and vendors. “Celebrating Oktoberfest in the shadow of Fort Adams, with a view of the Claiborne Pell Bridge, is truly a spectacular afternoon,” says Matt Gray, Owner, Ragged Island Brewing Company. “The added bonus of supporting the Fort Adams Trust makes this event a must-have on your calendar.”
Wine dinners, seminars, tastings and brunch await guests of the annual Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival starting Friday, Sept. 22, 2023 through Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023. During the two-day event, guests will enjoy fresh seafood straight from local fishers and neighborhood restaurants and vendors, along with dishes from local restaurants, craft beer and signature cocktails, with the backdrop of an eclectic mix of music from local bands. Billed as one of the “10 Fabulous Fall Festivals on the Coast” by Coastal Living magazine, proceeds from festival bars benefited Oliver Hazard Perry, Rhode Island’s 200-foot official sailing education vessel.

The event will showcase beer from approximately 40 craft breweries with local, live music performed throughout the afternoon and food available for purchase. Event is 21+, rain or shine. Wine Wizards will host a tasting showcasing the Mucci Imports product line at Mother Pizzeria in Newport on April 28. This will be a ticketed event with a VIP session for trade only followed by access to the public. More details to follow.
