The RI Hospitality Association (RIHA) will host a hospitality industry meeting at Terrazza Bistro on May 22. Led by representatives from Health Source RI for Employers and Napier Financial, the event will give trade guests a mid-session legislative and industry update and inform them on how the legislation will affect their businesses and what they can do to boost employee recruitment and retention, followed by a cocktail reception. This event is free for RIHA members, however you must pre-register to attend. Members are encouraged to bring a non-member friend, registration also required.
The RI Hospitality Association (RIHA) Women in Hospitality will host a Trivia Night for industry guests at O’Brien’s Pub in Newport on June 6. A fun night of networking and trivia.is partnered with Rogers High School Food Pantry to help with its mission of giving Newport students access to basic necessities they are not able to get elsewhere. Guests are asked to bring a donation of any of the following items:
- Non-perishable food
- Shampoo/conditioner
- Soap/body wash
The RI Hospitality Association (RIHA) will host its annual Summer Membership Reception at The Capital Grille in Providence on June 14, 2023. A chance for trade professionals and members to enjoy familiar faces, meet new RIHA members and renew hospitality-industry connections, guests will be treated to appetizers and drinks outside on the venue’s patio. A mix and mingle with fellow members and enjoy hors d’oeuvres & cocktails. Tickets are $20 and this event is for members only. Pre-registration is required. Brescome Barton/Worldwide Wines will be hosting its 11th Annual Charity Golf Outing in support of the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation (MC-LEF). MC-LEF provides educational assistance to the children of fallen United States Marines and Federal Law Enforcement personnel. Since it was founded in 1995, the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation has provided over has awarded over $91 million in educational accounts and other humanitarian assistance to over 4700 recipients, with 97% of all donations go toward fulfilling its mission. The day includes practice range and putting green; green and cart fees; breakfast, lunch, extended cocktail hour; contests, gifts, raffles, prizes; assorted product samples on course and on-course contests. The RI Hospitality Association (RIHA) will host its 20th annual Rhode Island Lodging & Restaurant Economic Outlook Breakfast on Sept. 13, 2023. Guests will enjoy a panelist discussion, with analysis of the state of the hospitality industry and the economic forecast for 2024, along with a hot breakfast and networking prior to the presentation.
