

Guests enjoyed Irish-themed specialty cocktails during a tasting at Cava Restaurant on St. Patrick’s Day.
Southington’s Cava Restaurant hosted a St. Patrick’s Day-themed cocktail tasting event on March 17, with Tullamore Dew as the showcased whiskey. Guests enjoyed six half-size handcrafted cocktails amid the backdrop of Cava’s latest seasonal decor, its Winter Spectacular, with festive Irish music by a live bagpipe player. Cocktail creations included the Pot of Gold, sparkling wine mixed with edible 24-carat gold; the Mint Irish Julep, a blend of Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey, cucumber, kiwi, mint, lime and honey; the Irish Margarita, Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey, lime and peach liquor; the Leprechaun, Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey, sour apple liqueur and orange liqueur; the Dublin Kiss, Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey, Godiva Chocolate Liqueur and Irish cream; and the Charms Shake, Irish cream, crème de menthe, vanilla ice cream and fluff.
