Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI) highlighted the Hudson Whiskey and Milagro Tequila lines at a local hot dog-making contest in West Hartford on April 20 for “420” celebrations. Spearheaded by Dante Paul Cistulli, Owner, Zephyr’s Street Pizza, the Hot Dog Heroes contest featured the talents of 11 local chefs who were challenged to make the tastiest hot dog. Entries were judged by Popular and Chef vote, but a special twist to the competition was that the three contestants with the lowest scores were required to get a tattoo of a hot dog at the conclusion. Xavier Santiago of The Place 2 Be took the Popular Vote title and Chef’s Vote went to Ethan Czarneski of Present Company. The 420 party also featured a potluck, beer from Thomas Hooker Brewery and Lawson’s Finest Liquids, and cocktails created by bar consultant and mixologist Khalid Williams, The Barrel Age, using Hudson Whiskey and Milagro Tequila.
