CDI Wraps Up Year of Support for ALS Efforts

By December 1, 2024Connecticut, Top News

Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI), and Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey continued to collaborate for a fourth consecutive year to raise funds and awareness for ALS United Connecticut, capping off CDI’s support for 2024 with events this fall in collaboration with Pernod Ricard. CDI and Pernod Ricard hosted fundraising walk events in Hartford, New Haven and Westport, followed by celebrations at Haven Beer Company in New Haven and Local Kitchen & Beer Bar in Fairfield. The efforts further bring families and communities together by the team’s collective efforts, CDI team said, all of which raise funds to provide both financial support and emotional relief to local families impacted by ALS. “This year, CDI, Skrewball and Pernod Ricard created something truly special,” said Jacky Rose, Executive Director, ALS United Connecticut. “The Skrewball table became the center of attention, but it was the sense of community that left the most lasting impact.” Maura Tancredi, Vice President of Human Resources, CDI, said this year’s events added a fresh spark to the fight against ALS. “We cannot thank Pernod Ricard and Skrewball enough for their incredible support. The walks had a very different energy this year. The Skrewball table was a huge hit, drawing so much attention. But beyond that, the after-walk gatherings were where we saw the magic happen.” Rose said the three walks with ALS United Connecticut involved 137 teams with close to 2,000 walkers raising $575,000, with team SkrewALS raising $7,500 across the three events. ALS United Connecticut will continue to collect donations through the end of the year. Visit alsunitedct.org/donate to learn more.
