Charter Oak Brewery hosted a fall beer celebration, OAKtoBEERfest, Oct. 2. The Charter Oak Brewery, located in historic Danbury, offered guests a Sunday fest of German-themed fun: live music, grilled German Brats and its locally brewed Oktoberfest and fall beers. More than 300 people attended the event held at its taproom, enjoying Charter Oak Oktoberfest, Festbier and Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout among fall beers. The brewery has both its commercial 20-barrel system and pilot five-barrel brewhouses operating for over 10,000 barrels of capacity with its own high-speed canning line, overseen by Scott Vallely, Owner and Brewmaster. The brewery’s flagship brands include 1687 Brown Ale, Royal Charter Pale Ale and Wadsworth IPA.
